I had the wonderful opportunity to gain valuable experience by completing an internship at Jugendrot. During these two weeks, I worked within a team of supportive and genuinely passionate professionals who not only welcomed me warmly, but also introduced me in detail to each of their organizations. This allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of all the projects. Moreover, I was given the opportunity not only to observe the processes, but to actively participate in them and contribute my own ideas.
One of my first tasks involved working with the administrative department. At first glance, it may seem simple, yet it is an equally important and responsible part of the organization. This assignment helped me develop attention to detail, patience, and improve my skills in working with Excel.
I was then introduced to the work of CNEL, where I learned about their responsibilities and the specific challenges they address. As a practical assignment, I was given the “Student Council Project”. Based on the Practice Material booklet on Student Council at High School, I was asked to design a project for my class aimed at promoting student engagement, leadership, and active participation in school life. Working on this project strengthened my strategic thinking, planning, and ability to structure ideas effectively. I learned how to analyze students` needs, design clear implementation steps, and anticipate possible challenges. This task also contributed to the development of my leadership and organizational skills.
I also had the opportunity to join the Youth Parliament. I was able not only to observe its internal structure but also to attend meetings of different delegations. I witnessed discussions of current issues affecting Luxembourg and global communities, addressed at a parliamentary level. Young participants analyzed real political and social challenges, proposed possible solutions, and developed initiatives aimed at improving situations both nationally and internationally. This experience allowed me to better understand debate structures, and decision-making processes. It strengthened my critical thinking, argumentation skills, and understanding of civic responsibility and the role of youth in shaping the future.
My work within the Youth Dialogue focused on developing a project for a class or school centered on Youth Goal #1: Connecting EU with Youth. As a presenter, I was responsible for designing a presentation and structuring a workshop that introduces students to the EU Youth Dialogue and helps them feel more connected to Europe. The project included interactive activities aimed at gathering the perspectives of young migrants studying in Luxembourg. Although the presentation process helped me develop skills in planning, structuring information, and adopting content to a specific audience. I learned how to design engaging activities and consider the culture and social diversity of participants. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of how to create educational and discussion-based project for young people.
Also I explored the field of social media and graphic design, which plays a crucial role in communicating news and events within the team. I took the opportunity to try myself in this area, learning about the creative process behind content creation and applying these insights in practice. This experience enhanced my creativity, sense of visual composition, and understanding of digital communication.
Additionally, I gained a brief but meaningful experience contributing to RALLYE CITOYEN, where I helped create a quiz about Luxembourg`s landmarks. This task allowed me to deepen my knowledge of the country while developing research and content-creation skills in an interactive format.
It is important to highlight that every task I completed was carefully reviewed, and I consistently received constructive feedback. This allowed me to recognize my strengths, identify areas for improvement, and continuously enhance made the internship not only practical but truly educational.
Overall, my internship at Jugendrot was a valuable and multifaceted experience. It allowed me to explore different fields, gain insight into the work of civic organizations and better understand the importance of youth engagement in public life.

These past four weeks of internship at Jugendrot have been amazing. I have been able to see and contribute to many projects.
I had the opportunity to work with Youth Parliament, CNEL, Youth goals and City Ralley. I have seen how the work goes on, how problems are solved, and I have been involved in the process myself.
It has been a pleasure for me to do my apprenticeship here. And especially, it was great to collaborate with Jugendrot staff.
I will remember these two weeks with fondness.
